Dallas cowboys rosters4/7/2024 ![]() From top to bottom, the Cowboys have one of the deepest rosters at their disposable heading into the 2019 season. And if that’s the case, then the final decision comes down to Bell or Thomas. With the Dallas Cowboys training camp just around the corner, I thought it would be a good idea to draw attention to their current roster. They could also end up keeping Thomas over Scott, but corner is a more valuable position. Although Thomas has stood out more during training camp and the preseason, he wasn’t a second-round pick, like Joseph, who they really like on special teams. My final decision came down to keeping Joseph over safety Juanyeh Thomas. Trevon Diggs (CB), Stephon Gilmore (CB), DaRon Bland (CB), Jourdan Lewis (CB), Kelvin Joseph (CB), Eric Scott (CB), Jayron Kearse (S), Malik Hooker (S), Donovan Wilson (S), Israel Mukuamu (S), Markquese Bell (S) This five seems pretty set at the moment. Clark and Overshown were two of Dallas’ top performers against the Jaguars. There should be a lot more confidence in this group after watching Saturday’s preseason opener. The coaching staff has to be extremely relieved to have Martin’s holdout ended. The reserves’ play Saturday was the team’s biggest area of concern. There’s a considerable dropoff after the starting five. If Stephens continues to turn heads in the next two preseason games, he might just play himself onto this roster.ĬeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks, Michael Gallup, Jalen Tolbert, KaVontae Turpin, Jalen Brooks But rookie John Stephens has been impressive the last few weeks. Sean McKeon would be the favorite for that final spot. Vaughn’s performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday shows he’s ready to contribute as a rookie. There are just too many other position groups that are deeper in talent. Malik Davis could end up being in this group as well, but this current roster doesn’t need more than three backs on the initial 53. Rush, who is 5-1 as a starter, will continue to be his backup. Prescott will be Dallas’ starter for an eighth consecutive season. Nothing has changed at the top two spots.
